If the work environment frequently requires lifting heavy objects, such as in a production workshop for heavy machinery components, then a heavier-duty electric hoist bridge crane should be selected. When determining the lifting capacity, not only should current production needs be considered, but also a certain margin should be reserved to handle potential special lifting tasks. For example, if the heaviest object routinely lifted is 5 tons, then selecting a crane with a lifting capacity of 6-7 tons is more appropriate, avoiding the risk of overloading when occasionally lifting slightly heavier objects.
Secondly, the lifting height cannot be ignored. For some tall factory buildings, such as large warehouses or high-rise building construction sites, the items to be lifted need to be raised to a higher position. At this time, the crane with sufficient lifting height should be selected based on the height of the factory building and the maximum lifting height of the items to be lifted. The lifting height includes the hook height of the crane itself and the effective lifting height of the electric hoist; it must be ensured that the sum of the two meets the working conditions.
Furthermore, the span is one of the key factors. The span refers to the distance between the centerlines of the wheels at both ends of the crane bridge. When selecting, it should be determined based on the width of the factory building. If the factory building is wide, a crane with a smaller span may not be able to cover the entire work area, affecting lifting efficiency. For example, in a large-span production workshop, selecting a large-span electric hoist bridge crane that matches the width of the factory building can ensure that the crane moves flexibly throughout the workshop to complete lifting tasks in different locations.
The duty cycle is also an important consideration. The duty cycle reflects the busyness and load changes of the crane. If the working condition involves continuous and uninterrupted lifting of heavy objects, such as cargo handling at a large port terminal, then a high-duty cycle crane should be selected to ensure that it can withstand high-intensity workloads and has a longer service life. For some intermittent work scenarios, such as small processing plants, the crane of the corresponding duty cycle can be selected according to the actual work frequency to avoid over-investment.
In addition, the special requirements of the working environment must also be considered. If it is working in an environment with corrosive gases or a lot of dust, such as a chemical workshop, an electric hoist bridge crane with an anti-corrosion coating and good sealing should be selected to prevent corrosion and damage to the metal structure and components of the crane. If it is in a flammable and explosive environment, such as an oil refinery, an explosion-proof electric hoist bridge crane should be selected to ensure production safety.
Selecting a suitable electric hoist bridge crane according to the working conditions requires comprehensive consideration of various factors such as lifting capacity, lifting height, span, duty cycle, and working environment. Only in this way can it be ensured that the crane operates efficiently, safely, and stably during operation, providing strong support for the production and development of the enterprise.
